CREEC Excursion

Dear Parents/Guardian of Students in Room 1, Room 2, Room 3, Room 11 and Year 3 of Room 13,

We are pleased to provide you with the following details regarding an upcoming excursion to be held at Canning River Eco Education Centre (CREEC) Your child will be able to participate in the following: 

Excursion Activity:   To explore the animals by walking around the Bushland at CREEC and Investigating the micro invertebrates in the Canning River. 
Date of Excursion:   Thursday May 23 
Time of Excursion:   9:00 am – 2:15 pm 
Excursion cost:   $16 
Details of Excursion:  There will be two activities that students will be doing. 

Self Guided Walk– Students in small groups will be exploring the diverse range of animals in their natural habitat and also spot lots of local and migratory birds using binoculars.  

Take a Dip– Students will be given an opportunity to sample and record the amazing micro invertebrates’ communities that live in the Canning River.

I agree to inform the organisers well before the scheduled excursion of any change to my child’s health and fitness so that appropriate supervision may be arranged. I acknowledge that, should it be considered necessary, school staff will arrange to present my child for medical assessment and treatment.

I give permission for my child to receive medical treatment in case of emergency. I am aware that the school and its employees are not responsible for personal injuries or property damage that may occur during an excursion, unless the school or its employees are proven to be negligent. I am aware this bus is not equipped with seatbelts.
