Swimming Lessons (Year 3-6)

INTERM SWIMMING LESSONS –  Wednesday 13 October – Friday 22 October

Dear Parents/Guardians,

This year for swimming lessons students from Year 3-6 will be attending Aqua Life Swimming Centre in Victoria Park. Students will be participating in swimming lessons in weeks 1 & 2 of Term 4.

Due to the high importance of water safety and understanding for primary school aged children, Lathlain Primary School is encouraging all students to attend swimming lessons in 2020.

The cost of the 8 lessons will be $40, GST free. This will cover pool entry and bus fare each day. Students who had a credit had the cost reduced and received an individual form.

Students will be attending lessons at the following times:

Please read the following information carefully:

1. Students are encouraged to wear sunscreen and Rashie or T Shirts. Swimming goggles are also a great idea to reduce eye soreness and reactions to the chlorine.
2. Students should wear their bathers underneath their uniform at the beginning of the day, as they will leave school ready to swim. All groups will change back at school. We suggest that a spare plastic bag be brought to school, so that wet bathers & towel can be taken home.
3. Please mark all items with your child’s name.
4. Lessons are 40 minutes in length.
5. Buses will depart school approximately 15 minutes before each lesson.

Please return your money, Excursion Consent Form and Swimming Enrolment Form (which is given to the pool) to school by Wednesday 22 September. Should you have difficulties with providing monies at this time, please see Mrs Bechelli in the office to arrange a payment plan. The consent form and enrolment form needs to returned to the office as soon as possible.

If students are not participating in lessons, please complete the first form and return to the school office.

If there are any medical conditions that relate to your child, it is imperative that this is listed on the consent form.

If you have not received a form please see your class teacher or contact the office.
