Pre-Primary Living Eggs Incursion

Dear Parents & Carers,

We are delighted to inform you that as part of our Oral Language studies this semester, we have secured approval to hatch chickens at school for our Pre-Primary cohort.

Fertilised eggs will be delivered on Monday 5 September 2022, and should begin hatching within a few days. The incubator and brooder will be housed in Room 23 for two weeks, and all students in rooms 21, 22 and 23 will have daily access to observe the hatching and growth. Time lapse video will also be recorded.

The hatched chickens will remain at school until Friday 16 September 2022, after which they will be returned to the provider, Living Eggs WA, where they will be re-homed to the Little Chicken Farm in Ashby.

The cost of this incursion will be $4.00 per student. Please complete the below permission form and make payment by Friday 2 September 2022.
