Massed Choir Festival

Our Senior Choir has been selected to participate in the Massed Choir Festival, held atthe Perth Concert Hall on Friday 15 September 2023.
Please find below important information regarding the students’ participation in the Festival, which will require us to travel to two cluster rehearsals during school time, and a final technical rehearsal just before the concert in the evening.
Cluster Rehearsal 1
Date Tuesday 22 August 2023
Venue Churchland Senior High School Concert Hall
Departure time 11:15am
Returning to Lathlain 2:50pm
Notes • Please send your child’s lunch packed in a labelled zip-lock bag.
No lunchboxes please.
• Students will bring their own water bottles, however no metal water bottles are permitted.
• Students must wear school uniform.
Cluster Rehearsal 2
Date Wednesday 13 September 2023
Venue Perth Concert Hall
Departure time 9:00am
Returning to Lathlain 2:00pm
Notes • As for the first rehearsal, please send your child’s lunch packed in a labelled zip-lock bag. No lunchboxes please.
• Mrs Pilmoor will be providing small disposable water bottles.
• Students must wear school uniform.
Tech Rehearsal/Performance
Date Friday 15 September 2023
Venue Perth Concert Hall
Departure time 4:45pm (from Lathlain PS)
Pick-up time 9:15pm at the Concert Hall after the concert
Notes • No food breaks during the evening excursion – please make sure your child has something to eat beforehand.
• As for the second rehearsal, Mrs Pilmoor will be providing small disposable water bottles.
Dress standards • Choir t-shirt
• Long royal blue pants
• Black, closed-in shoes
• Long hair tied back neatly in one ponytail or braid, no glitter hairspray, royal blue/white ribbon or scrunchie
The cost of the event will be $30.00 per student which covers the event registration fees and transport to
all three excursions.
