Dear Parents/Carer,
Year One children will be participating in an excursion to Caversham Wildlife Park on Monday 23rd October 2023. During Term 3, as part of our literacy program, the students have been learning about different Australian Animals including their habitat, diet and appearance. Visiting this park will give the children the opportunity to view these animals first-hand and therefore, will greatly enhance their learning.
We will be leaving school at 9:15am and returning to school at 2:45pm. Students will be required to bring their recess, lunch, snacks, fruit and water bottle in a backpack. There are no water fountains in the park to refill water, so a water bottle is essential and possibly even bring two bottles for the day. Students are required to wear their school uniform with a hat.
The cost of the excursion will be $21.00.
Please contact your classroom teacher if you wish to accompany us. This will require you to make your own way there to meet us at the Wildlife Park as there is limited adult seating on the bus. General admission to Caversham Wildlife Park is $32.00.
Please complete the permission form below and make payment of $21.00 by Monday 16 October.
Kind Regards,
Quyen Trinh, Barbara Van Trigt, Lauren Richards and Raelene Buchanan
